At 0800am this morning the Biscay Triangle yachts sailed from La Coruna for La Trinite in South Brittany. The first 24 hours promises to be somewhat tricky with Notherly winds of about 15 knots. Hopefully yachts will manage to get sufficiently far North by the end of the day in order to bear away for Brittany. The plan is for everyone to converge upon the island of Houat by Friday evening and then sail into La Trinite by midday Saturday.
The La Coruna was exceptionally enjoyable and most people were relieved to get back to sea this mornning in order to relax after a very full programme! The tapas party in the Real Club Nautico was much appreciated and unashamedly `doggie bags' were distributed after the generous servings of serrano ham, padron peppers, Galician pies and many more culinary delights.

On Monday the bus trip to Santiago de Compostella was undertaken by all but the `Vertigo's' (late night!!) and everyone enjoyed the bustle of this medieval city and a relaxing lunch in the garden of an excellent restaurant.
The story continues in France, watch these pages...
