Ten yachts arrived in Sainte Marine marina (just opposite Benodet) on Saturday evening. First in was Johanem at 5.00pm (French time) very closely followed by Vertigo, Close Encounter, Shenanigan, Asherah, Manita, Marita III, Lucy Alice, Sunbeat II and Navigo. Expected in today (Sunday 26th July) are Sea Fox (from Morgat) and Saltwhistle III (from L'Aber Wrach).

Tonight gets underway with wine and tapas at the pretty little bar `Cafe de la Cale' and is followed by dinner at the Hotel du Bac. We are to be joined by some traditional Breton singers who are going to provide some sea shanties for the rally (we don't really know what to expect!). Tomorrow a meeting is planned to decide on cruising options for the forthcoming trip to Vannes and it is likely that given some settled weather, the rally will move to the Iles de Glenan for a BBQ and overnight anchorage in the crystal clear waters of the mini archipelago later on Monday. The rally is cruising towards Vannes for a stopover on Wednesday and Thursday before moving on to La Trinite.
