Laroobaa is a 1999centre cockpit model that has been very well maintained spending the first 5 years with almost no activity and the second 5 years slowly crossing the Pacific with a husband and wife team. She presents as a few years old. The main accommodation is a queen sized island berth aft with spacious ensuite. There are two double bunk ‘crew’ cabins and a massive v-berth with its own vanity unit and private access to the second head. The galley is huge and includes all of the essentials and plenty of storage. The layout is ideal for guests and/or family with plenty of room between the ‘parents retreat’ and the guests quarters.

Easily handled single handed Laroobaa is currently on the BWR Oz-Med rally and will arrive in the Med in April, ready to go again with new owners. She has been fastidiously maintained and improved and has a great deal of new gear including Raymarine SPX course computer, ST7002 Autohelm and AIS 500 with existing radar. Power comes from a generator, new house & starter batteries (Oct 2010) or works off both 110v and 240v shore power. A new Xantrex inverter/charger was installed in October 2010.

The SSB works perfectly and had a new ICOM auto-tuner installed April 2010.

Standing and running rigging have been renewed as required, new Manson Supreme 80lb anchor, new headsail, new stove burners, new inner sprung mattress, new clears, new stereo, safety gear and much much more.

At 55ft, Laroobaa confidently handles big seas with grace and comfort and provides a level of safety not enjoyed by smaller yachts. She covers the miles easily, cruising at 8kn+ giving 180 to 220 mile days.
