Having spent the last two weeks in Fiji, the majority of the fleet is now free cruising from Fiji towards Mackay, the official port of arrival on the east coast of Australia in Queensland. Many of them will also be calling in at Port Vila in Vanuatu.

Important Note : Position reports are compiled from rally participants' radio reports and from automatic polling of suitably equipped yachts. Only certain legs of the Rallies are defined as 'reporting' legs, during which yachts must regularly report their locations. Other passages are defined as 'free cruising' legs, during which position reports are optional.

The publication of position reports is under the supervision of Rally Control, and can be affected by:
a) participants failure to establish a communications link at the scheduled time, or
b) security considerations for areas of the world where precise reporting of position and/or route would be of questionable benefit
