It has been a wonderful 18 hours of sailing as Biscay Triangle yachts enjoy fresh Easterly winds as they enter Biscay. Some of the larger yachts (namely Caduceus and Blue Magic) have been flying at speeds up to 10knots. All of the fleet positions are on Yachtplot which shows the daily progress of the rally.  The longer range weather forecast shows fresh South Westerly winds coming in early on Friday morning just as many yachts will be closing with the Spanish coast so this could spoil otherwise record breaking passage times!
