Blue Water Cruising Seminar – Saturday 13 September
There can be few cruising yachtsmen who have not dreamed of blue-water sailing – perhaps across the Bay of Biscay, for an extended cruise in the Mediterranean, across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, or a circumnavigation. Many will not take up the challenge but, for those who do, the key to a successful and enjoyable voyage lies in adequate preparation, both in terms of the human factors and of the yacht itself.
This will be the 13th blue-water cruising seminar run by ourselves in conjunction with Yachting Monthly Magazine. We have again assembled a panel of experts, all blue-water sailors, including yachting’s premier technical writer, Nigel Calder.
Nigel will give technical presentations on mechanical and electrical equipment, including communications, navigation and electronics. Additional topics to be covered by our expert panel will include:
